radio and satellite transmission. Computer software files and information can be trasferred via the internet,
thus making it possible to access huge databases of information.

Time is saved by the access speed of the information today. by using a seach engine to find a local car repair shop
or pizza place, related information including maps, telphone numbers, email addresses, etc, are quite often
available.

be quickly conveyed to another region of the conuntry where the voting has not completed, thus potentially
influencing the outcome of an election, especially in closely contested seats.
Shopping has become easier with online ordering thru companies such as Amazon and all the major retail
stores. Amazon reported recently that the E-book sales have outpaced the paper book sales. Speed of delivery
and ease of purchase have been possible with the internet.
Training can now be received via the internet. Schools and individuals in their homes have access to training
material at the click of a mouse.
Medical support is available in remote locations with the use of the internet and cameras and
satellites.
The social media networks, such as facebook and twiter, are connecting people at lightning speed allowing the
masses to orgainize and respond to government policies, etc.

Private and security information is at risk to hackers and enemies of the state.
The personal ID information of individuals has been stolen and used for financial gain. Identity theft is a
serious problem now in the western world.
The security of countries is threatened by hackers who break into the computer databases and steal
information.
The abuse of children, elderly and emotionly destrought individuals is carried out thru the internet
The health of children is threatened by excessive use of the computer and all the distractions available over
the internet.
What is internet - Conclusion
The internet offers great benefits to mankind, but needs to be used in a responsible
manner like any other right or privilege. Governments may want to license the right to use it in order to help
prevent irresponsible use.
